Brian received his Master's Degree in Social Work from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1973. From 1973 until 1978, he worked for the Minot, North Dakota, Area Social Service Center and held the position of Supervisor or Child and Family Services.

In 1977, Brian was awarded a Bush Fellowship. That allowed him to pursue advanced study in Brief and Family Therapy from the Philadelphia Child Guidance Center, The Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy in New York, and The Family Therapy Institute of Marin, San Rafeal, California. From 1978 through 1982, Brian worked as a psychotherapist with The Pauquette Center for Mental Health and Guidance in Portage, Wisconsin. In May of 1982, he and his wife, Lynn, co-founded Pauquette Adoption Services and he has served as the Director of this agency since that time. Brian holds Wisconsin licenses as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. In 1978, he was also admitted as a Clinical Member in the American Academy of Marriage and Family Therapists. Brian and Lynn have adopted four children. Brian's hobbies include golf, cross-country skiing, and collecting antique golf memorabilia.

Supervisor of Adoptions
Lynn C. Tool, ACSW, LCSW (Email)

Lynn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is the Supervisor of Adoptions for PAS. She has worked this capacity since she co-founded the agency with her husband, Brian, in May of 1982.
Lynn is a graduate of the University of North Dakota where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double major in Psychology and Social Work. She then enrolled in graduate school and received her Master's Degree of Social Work from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Early in her career, Lynn worked as a Psychiatric and School Social Worker. However, since 1974, she has worked exclusively in the area of adoptions.

Lynn and her husband have four adopted children who are now young adults. Lynn's interests are gardening, walking, reading, music, and traveling.

Kari A. Edwards, MSW, CAPSW (Email)


Kari Edwards received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, in 1990. She obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work, with a concentration in Children's and Family Services, in 1996. Kari is licensed by the State of Wisconsin as an Advanced Placement Social Worker. Kari worked at Pauquette Adoption Services from October of 1996 through September of 1999, when she took some time off to be with her two young children.

Kari has three children: Abby, Aidan, and Anya. Kari's hobbies include gardening, antiquing, and playing with her children.
