Foster Father Plea

A Waupun man accused of fatally beating one of his foster sons and injuring another is arraigned in Dodge County. Not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf of Shane Marquardt, who stood silent in court Monday.

Marquardt is accused of fatally punching 3-year-old Camron Gardner and injuring two-year-old Ethan Schwartz last May. The foster father is charged with first-degree reckless homicide and first-degree reckless injury.
