FOSTER PARENT GUILTY IN CHILD'S DEATH

Angela Dozier, 31, of Buffalo, was convicted Thursday of recklessly murdering one of her foster children last year and severely beating the youngster's older brother.

A State Supreme Court jury deliberated for five hours before finding Dozier guilty of second-degree murder and two child endangerment counts in the Aug. 6 death of Terrell Parker, 2, and the beating of his 4-year-old brother Terrence.Dozier, a former Linwood Avenue day care center operator, was emotionless as the verdict was announced to Justice Russell P. Buscaglia, will be sentenced July 26.

Terrell died of blunt force trauma to the head and suffered a ruptured liver, stomach and intestines.

The prosecutors presented medical evidence that Terrence had been walking around on a broken leg for up to 10 days before he was found and treated.

Terrence now lives with his three surviving siblings in another Buffalo foster home.
