Adoptive father pleads guilty

WEST PALM BEACH - David Allen Lindsey Sr., the first single man in Florida to adopt children, agreed Thursday to plead guilty to sexually abusing four boys - including three of his adoptive sons - and accept a 15-year prison sentence. Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Thomas Sholts accepted the plea arrangement and extended Lindsey's three-year probation from a separate molestation conviction in September to 10 years. Lindsey, 45, who adopted 11 boys, also was sentenced to five and a half years in prison after he was convicted of lewd assault on a 14-year-old boy in the September trial.
