Meeting held with Mediation Agency to update on current procedures in Vietnam
- Adoptions are going very well 92 children have been adopted since the commencement last year.
- The application form has changed – details relating to child preferences are now included
- Packs are not being sent to Vietnam until near the potential referral time. This means that if certificates/paperwork are out of date they will be checked here in Ireland and updated prior to sending.
- Emphasis is being placed on the Home Study section of the pack and it is reviewed thoroughty by the Vietnamese authorities.
- Ensure that every page of the Home Study is notarised.
- Referral waiting time is currently running at 6 months. Same length for boys and girls
- The orphanages being dealt with are Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen and Vung Tau.
- Staff in Vietnam are Miss Nuoc, Miss Binh and Miss Chi
- Current Fee is $10, 000. This is subject to change at any time therefore contact HHMA for exact fee.
