Betreff: [BirthParentContact] Successful search

Wanted to share with the group that we have received great news from
our searcher, Daniel, in Romania. He has been successful in
locating the birth family of my 2nd daughter, age 13.

Daniel has located and talked with the birth mother, father,
siblings, etc. He has made arrangements to visit her within the
next week to give her photo's of our daughter and to speak with her
about specific questions we have. Also to take photo's to send back
to America.

Daniel has informed her that we are planning a visit to Romania this
summer to visit the birth family of our 1st daughter, age 17.

The 2nd birth family is praying we visit them too.

This has been a blessing for both our daughters. We are all so very
excited that both families are open to our visit.

Since our daughters were very young, we always talked openly about
adoption. So telling them their story as they grew was very easy.
Their questions were always answered honestly and age appropriately.

Even though some questions made me uncomfortable, I would answer
those questions honestly and choose my words delicately. I did not
want to hurt my daughters, nor did I want to make out their birth
mother as a villian, or something that she was not.

I explained that her decision to put them up for adoption was a
blessing from God. That that decision enabled me to bring them home
to raise and love. That giving them up was the hardest thing any
mother could do, and she did it out our love, not hate or
bitterness. Which, in our case is the truth.

I pray that for those of you searching, your searches are
successful. As of this day, we are all looking forward to our trip
to Romania. When we return, I am sure we will all have grown in our
own ways.

God Bless and Good Luck,
Helen
