Associação «Bem me Queres» lançou recolha de assinaturas

A Associação «Bem me Queres» lançou uma recolha de assinaturas para solicitar ao Parlamento que institua o 10 de Maio de 2009 como o Dia Nacional da Adopção de Crianças, informa a agência Lusa.

Segundo a Associação, a criação deste dia comemorativo visa promover o debate na sociedade. Por outro lado, pretende consciencializar a sociedade para esta realidade, difundir junto das entidades competentes a situação em que vivem milhares de crianças a cargo de instituições e sensibilizar o poder judicial para a necessidade de tornar mais rápidos os processos de adopção.

Na petição disponível na Internet, os promotores referem que «é importante promover a consciencialização da sociedade para o facto de crianças que crescem sem família estarem a ser privadas daquilo que de mais importante existe para a sua formação, desenvolvimento e crescimento - o afecto, os laços, a conquista de um colo».

A lei estabelece que são necessárias mil assinaturas para um petição ser discutida em comissão parlamentar e quatro mil para debater a proposta no plenário da Assembleia da República
