Road Air supports “Action for foster care in China” - 26-09-2007 13:52:51

One of the emerging Chinese painters is Wei Shen. His work is exhibited from 8 September to 15 October 2007 in “Kunsthuis de Bakkerij” in Bergen (Limburg), the Netherlands. The exhibition is sponsored by KLM Club China. 5% of the profit will be donated to the Wereldkinderen campaign, "Action for foster care in China”. Road Air has sponsored the handling and packing in China, the customs clearance in the Netherlands as well as the delivery of the paintings in Bergen.

Wei Shen was born in Guangxi China. He has exhibited in China, Sweden, Korea and the United Stated. As a representative of the Asian Art Association he lectured at Harvard University, Massachusetts Art College and he exhibited his modern work at the 28th New York International Art Exhibition: “From traditional to modern”.

More than 66,000 children in China live in children’s homes. Together with local organisation HOLT, Wereldkinderen searches for and helps foster families for children that are left abandoned by their parents. It mainly concerns girls or handicapped children that cannot make a living for their family. This autumn, Wereldkinderen will start a campaign to give hundreds of orphans a home in China.
