Italian organisation donates Euro 25,00 to feed orphans [ 2007-12-

KATHMANDU, Dec. 11: An Italian organisation NAA provided Euro 25,000
for nutrition, food, medical treatment and other basic needs for 200
orphan children living at Nepal Children's Organisation (NCO), Bal
Mandir.
The agreement was signed between Rita Singh Vaidhya, president of
NCO and Sanu Prajapati Maharjan, country representative of NAA Nepal
chapter recently.
Director at the NCO Rajeshwor Niraula said that the financial aid
was for 200 children living in Bal Mandir. ?We requested the NAA for
assistance when we had financial crisis and the fund is provided for
emergency support," he said. The NAA has been providing such
emergency funds when the organisations faces financial crisis.
He said that the NAA has also been providing scholarship to 60 poor
children across the country and each of the children gets US$ 150
annually for their education.
