Children adopted by Scott and Karen Banks

2 children, then known as Ethan and Auriel Banks, adopted from Romania by Scott and Karen Banks, were disrupted and placed with the Duke Purcell family in American Samoa 9 years post adoption. The adoptees were left without any identity papers or passports and they could not leave the island.
Two years later, a third child with CP, also adopted from Romania, was institutionalized at age 12.

Banks had 2 bio children, 3 from Romania, 3 from Russia, and later one girl originally from China, that they were allowed to adopt against the wishes of the original adoptive parents.
