Update on calls to NSPCC
RELEASED TO MEDIA ON TUESDAY 27 NOVEMBER AT 3 PM
The States of Jersey Police can now offer an update regarding calls made to the NSPCC on a dedicated UK based phone line which was launched last week following the public announcement about the historic abuse enquiry in local institutions we are now undertaking.
The latest update from NSPCC is that there have been 19 calls which we have yet to analyse but the NSPCC tell us that average for a Police line of this type is six calls.
We would continue to urge anyone who has information about historical abuse to phone either the dedicated NSPCC number or our historical abuse enquiry team in Jersey.
