No jail time in child neglect case

TROY - The Troy mother accused of neglecting her adopted son and keeping him in conditions so bad that her house was condemned will not be heading to jail.

Sharmon Evans pleaded guilty to misdemeanor child endangerment.

The deal means no jail time and three years probation. Evans will also have to do community service and will lose custody of the child.
