Hi all,

I am having to make a swifter departure than originally planned due
to a family member in the hospital (nothing too serious). So, I
wanted to wish everyone the very best in their respective adoption
journeys from this point forward as I will leave my post today. I
want to go on record as saying that I do think things are firmly
moving behind the scenes. There are so many diverse groups working
on this issue and I sincerely believe we will see positive movement
soon. Once it starts, I truly wish the best for all parents and
children in the process. Feel free to drop me a line when you get
home!

I will stay on nchild and chime in from time to time as my
relationships in Nepal are quite firm and my wife and I still intend
to start the adoption process in another year when our son is older-
and we can wrap our heads around two children!

On an unrelated and final note, my other organization will be taking
an annual pilgrimage to Nepal to work in orphanages, schools and
rescue homes. I would love if parents took some time to wander
around our site if time allows and offer any comments or
suggestions. We are a small nonprofit and do a lot of good with very
little- any suggestions may lead to new avenues we have not pursued.
I hope that doesn't sound like a shameless plug- I just want to
leave every door open for us to have more direct impact on more
children... maybe an nchilder might know of a good idea we have not
thought of.

We usually base our team in Kathmandu for three weeks and run across
so many adoptive families while working there. If your adoption
journey takes you there in March 2007 please let us know and we can
share some chai and stories.

Signing off until I can be of further use. Good luck, Eric
