Melbourne, October 6. The inquest in connection with the Brunswick baby farming case was continued yesterday. The evidence of several witnesses who had given babies to Mrs. Thwaites for adoption was heard. A nurse girl named Alice Clarke described her experiences in the household of Mrs. Thwaites, and the occasional appearance and disappearance on unknown infants. It was stated in evidence that on one occasion Mrs. Thwaites called at a house where birth had just been given to a child and took the infant away in a can receiving £10 in gold. The inquest was adjourned until Tuesday.
