Constitution day

I just found out today , that September 17th is constitution day, which, although it is not the constitution I live under, seems to be worthy to celebrate. After all, constitutions define our rights and liberties and in principle are the grounds upon which we can defend our rights and liberties.
What surprised me is that the constitution gets only one lousy day, while to adoption an entire month is dedicated. Does that mean adoption is 30 times more important than the constitution?
