Maybe it's being an Outsider with an Insider's Perspective that makes me so surprised Average Americans are stunned when a shooting takes place outside their average homes.
People can't understand how a sherrif can become a gun-man, and turn on it's town's young. [Wis. residents wonder how killer of 6 could have become sheriff's deputy]
Gee, Davey, I dunno!
You'd be surprised what happens behind closed doors, wouldn't you?
Often times, a boy follows his father's foot-steps, and tries to do his best to protect his sense of what's right and what's wrong in this world.
It should make people think what's being taught in each boy's home, by both parents.... but I suppose that would be an invasion of one's privacy and imposing one's moral judgement now, wouldn't it?
<Hmmm....>
Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot!

Excused
The shooter was at least sorry about what he had done, doesn't that count anymore as an excuse?
A blanket excuse
"Sorry"...
Yes... Let's try that one on for size: "Sorry I took your child away from you."
Ring any bells for any of you sick bastards?
