JCICS participated in Lobby ROmania
October 19, 2005 -
JCICS sent a letter to the US Committee on Foreign Relations requesting that during the confirmation hearing of nominee Nicholas Taubman for Ambassador to Romania, Mr. Taubman’s opinion and support of intercountry adoption be explored. JCICS expressed concern about the European Union’s inexplicable stance that Romania must prohibit intercountry adoption in order to accede into the EU in 2007 and stressed Mr. Taubman's potential to play an important role in this issue.
