"Just a little insight won't make this right"
Insight to adoption issues is the very reason why I hate therapists. They know so little about us, and what they do know and tell ("how to deal with it") is based on the bull-shit the agencies and the industry keeps telling and selling them.
We need a revolution in education.
An explosive revolution. One that blows the minds off of people, showing them how little and for how long adoption has been breeding it's own ugly web of lies to parents on both sides.
Therapists
What I find most disturbing is that so many adoption specialized therapists are adopters and with all trust issues involved I feel very uncomfortable about that. Adoptees as therapist can give a mess too. It's all too easy to start feeding off of each other's experiences, while complete outsiders often have no clue. I hate all this Triad ideology too, so that leaves me to be my own therapist I guess.
