CEDAR FALLS - Two adopted brothers have been arrested for alleged sexual abuse of other adopted children living in their home.

Channon Matthew Swarbrick, 24, of 3004 W. Fourth St. No. 12, was arrested Wednesday for five counts of second-degree sexual abuse. Kyle Edward Lim Swarbrick, 21, of 739 Maucker Road, was arrested for three counts of second-degree sexual abuse.

Police said each count represents a different victim. They say the sexual abuse went on over a number of years.

"All the victims were from the same home," said Cedar Falls Police Capt. Jeff Olson.

The Department of Human Services and Cedar Falls Police Department took seven children from a home on Maucker Road last April in connection with the sexual abuse case.

At the time, seven others over the age of 18 were allowed to stay in the home.

Jodi Swarbrick and her ex-husband had adopted more than two dozen children since the mid-1970s. More than a dozen were usually living in the home at any given time.

The children had come from the United States, Asia and South America.

Police said children under the age of 18 have not been placed back in the home since the case was initiated.

The second-degree sexual abuse charges involve victims under the age of 12.

A warrant for a third man has also been issued.
