Feng shui, hocus pocus candles, aroma-therapy and real estate agents are all getting fat these days thanks to the big thinking behind creative selling through the senses. Decorating styles, color influence, smells and furniture placement are all very big these days in terms of selling things these days, aren't they?
The question is: who can you trust? Home owners eager to leave? Real estate agents eager to sell? Mortgage lenders eager to "lend"? Never before must the phrase "buyer beware" be made more loud and clear, especially if a baby is soon to be expected.
Does a coat of paint cover the water stains over the rotted walls of a crap-built house?
Will cheap carpet cover the blood from the murder scene from the previous owners?
Is that duct tape covering asbestos over there?
That little river by the property... will that require flood insurance?
When I got married, I was 23. I got pregnant when I was 24. I learned in nursing school, the most fertile age of a female is 24. It seems to me, most women these days wait until their thirties to get married, maybe because they want to have their careers and homes before they have their families.... I don't know.
Back in the 1970's a bunch of women said "Women can have it all!"
Here's a newsflash: No one can! (Not even men.)
There is a price to pay for "happiness".
Sacrifice is made everyday.
Whether that is a smaller house, or smaller families... a condo, an apartment with a roommate; a house with a dog, or a farm with a large family... we all have what we earn, and I truly believe what we get, comes naturally to us. (What comes around, goes around) If one becomes pregnant, that's God's choice: the mother is chosen by the pregnancy. Period.
It's only been through man's hand how a child's fate is rendered.
There are millions of "mother-figures" in the world... fear the beast who IS the Alpha Female. She will hurt those who dare to touch her babies. The alpha female is the most protective of all creatures, and she will hunt down those who hurt those who cannot defend themselves.
I am one such animal.
You can take the child away from the mother, but remove the mother from the child? You have an animal who learns to trust no one... except her own gut instinct. I wonder how much the adoption industry is run by banks and lawyers, claiming to support foster-care interests, when in fact, all they care about is their own investment properties?
Phillipsburg High-school is a perfect example of stonewalled building in an Abbott Community. It's an area that advocates Safe Haven/ Planned Parenthood... yet there is no progress in building it's high-school as stores and developments make many many businesses (and politicians) very wealthy. Go figure!
At what point will the letters to the editors to the boards of ed be read written by local parents saying schools are more important than Home Depots and new Mc Donalds and Honda dealerships and pharmaceutical companies being built in urban-sprawl areas?
Children need safe clean schools, not new Lowes.
Kids need better teachers, not more Yankee Candles.
Where are our priorities?
Down the crapper, at the dueling Lowes, Home Depot and Sears, of course.
Bring your plastic, God knows no one has any paper cash anymore.

The difference between newpapers, letters, and the internet:
Circulation and audience.
I remember a joke from school: What's black and white and read all over? A newspaper!
