CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — A judge has freed a woman who spent six months in prison after being convicted of helping her husband abuse their three adopted children.
Kaylynn Gaunavinaka was sentenced in January to up to 10 years in prison. Instead, she will spend the next eight years on probation, as long as she completes counseling and other requirements.

The Idaho Statesman reports that Third District Judge Bradly Ford agreed to release the 36-year-old Thursday after reviewing positive assessments from those who evaluated her in prison.

She can't have any contact with the victims or any unsupervised contact with minors unless approved by her probation officer.

Her ex-husband, Kekoa Glenn Gaunavinaka, is serving a life sentence for the sexual abuse of their daughter and the repeated physical abuse of their sons.
