BROOKSVILLE Police arrested a man Saturday following accusations he carried on a five-year sexual relationship with an underage girl.

Jonathan Outlaw, 46, of 1525 Arnold Ave., was picked up at his home by the Brooksville Police Department. Authorities had issued a warrant for his arrest the previous day, according to a media release.

Police said they learned of the accusations against Outlaw in June and began an investigation.

The accuser alleged Outlaw had committed at least seven sex acts against her during the past five years, according to police.

During his interview with detectives, Outlaw said he had sexual relations with the girl twice and insisted she was the one who initiated both of them, police said.

Outlaw was booked shortly after 9:30 a.m. at the Hernando County Jail and he posted $20,000 bail about 10 hours later, according to jail records.
