Obituary

Andre Kelly Allison, 41, of North Pole, passed away on Jan. 10, 2010, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

Andre was born to Myna and Roland Allison on Jan. 17, 1968, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He came to Alaska with his dad, mom, older brother and younger sister in November 1969.

Andre grew up in North Pole, where he would achieve many things. As he grew older, Andre rode with the Student State Troopers, the E-Detachment, having the honor of guarding President Ronald Reagan on Nov. 1, 1983. Andre graduated from North Pole High School in 1986.

In March 1989, Andre traveled to Moses Lake, Wash., where he met his future wife, Debbie. Andre and Debbie returned to North Pole in June 1989 and were married on Dec. 9, 1989. They had been married 20 years.

Andre's spirit is carried on through his wife, Debbie; and their two sons, Dusten and James, of North Pole; mother, Myna Allison, of North Pole; brothers, Kirty Edwards,

, Josh Allison, all of North Pole and Harry Ekalook and family, of Barrow; sisters, Colena Allison and family, of North Pole, Cora Brown and family, of Fairbanks, Sara Allison, of New Mexico, Debbie Allison, of Louisiana and Lisa Allison, of Fairbanks; father- and mother-in-law, Allen and Sandy Martin, of Colville, Wash.; sister-in-law, Colleen Martin, of New Jersey; and Lucy and Sparky Blackman, of Fairbanks.

Andre Allison was preceded in death by his father, Rolin Allison Sr.; sister, Nelita Allison; and brother-in-law, Paul Christopher Roof.

Andre Kelly Allison will be greatly missed by all his family and friends he made throughout his lifetime.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, at First Presbyterian Church, 547 Seventh Ave., officiated by Pastor Andy Ekblad. A potluck will follow in the basement of the church. Please bring a dish to share.

We ask that any flowers or gifts be given to Debbie, Dusten or James Allison.

Arrangements were by Fairbanks Funeral Home and Crematory.
