David and I are in our mid 40's. We have had 4 birth children, Shannon 25, Kristin 23, our first son Sean passed away at 3 days of age with hypo plastic heart syndrome, and Logan is 18. Since then we have served as foster parents in Florida and Georgia for about 8 years caring for over 50 children many of whom were special children with disabilities of some sort. We no longer are foster parents with the social services, but are glad to offer a permanent Christian family home for your little girl.

We presently have 5 children in our home. Jeffrey is 20 and has Downs syndrome, Virginia is 19 with cerebral palsy, Joshua is 9, Thomas is 6 and was born with an unusual chromosome abnormality and Jairus is 3. He has 5p- syndrome.

Our home that is called The King's Cleft, is a 4000 sq ft concrete foundation home with everything geared for the disabled. It is situated on 20 acres of quiet country land. It is a very nice place to live. We raise dairy goats, have some dogs and enjoy the out of doors, working with God's creation and serving other people and their needs. We have 6 grandchildren and a large support system of friends and family that often drop by to lend a hand with the garden or with other household needs.

David and I gave our lives to the Lord Jesus and now we love and serve Him instead of ourselves. We live a modest life, conservative by some standards. I teach the children at home, we drink goat milk, don't own a TV (by choice) and are content with God's provision for our lives. We believe the Bible to be God's inspired word and that it was left for us as a guide for life to lead us to Jesus. Our desire is to live a holy life, selflessly giving to meet the needs of others. We love God, each other and our children, whether they be our birth children, or those we got to adopt.

Everything we do in life we do with the sincere desire to glorify and honor the Lord. We have given up the past life of self and sin and choose to follow Jesus, His way, truth and life. We look forward to the day when He comes again to call all those that love His appearing, HOME, but,,,, until then we will work helping others, loving these special little ones He has called us to serve. We love the Lord with our whole being.

David and I have been married for over 26 years. Over that time, God has showed us that He gave us a special gift to use for His glory. Not only have we cared for over 50 children, but we also learned a lot about medical needs for various kinds of disabilities.

The children in our home as of now have specialists that we see and relate to regularly. We have contacted two of the three hospitals closest to us, the Augusta Georgia children's hospital called MCG and Fairview Park Hospital. I feel that we have the wisdom and ability and love to meet this sweet little girl’s special needs.

We have often been able to see difficult things through by setting our focus on God and walking forward by faith, trusting in His grace to complete the job at hand. We love these special ones and just seem to have a way of knowing what to do. Often I hear people say how do you do this? The only answer is that it is God. He just seems to have given us a gift for them and their care. It is nothing short of pure joy to care for and love them.
