AMW: Unknown Amariana Crenshaw Killer

Molotov Cocktail Kills 4-Year-Old Girl

Many foster children go years without finding a home to call their own.

For Amariana Crenshaw, it seemed as though her wish had been granted when Tracy Dossman brought her home in 2006. The 4-year-old lived with Tracy, a Sacramento, Calif. foster mom who cared for a number of foster children.

On Jan. 10, 2008, Tracy brought her foster kids to a rental property that she owned so they could help her clean and prepare the property for new tenants.

However, as the night went on, the kids went to bed, and Tracy went on alone to continue the cleaning.

At around 3 a.m., Tracy was in the kitchen when she heard a loud explosion coming from the front room.

When she looked to see what had happened, she saw the room engulfed in flames.

Tracy and her children rushed out of the house, but there was one child left behind, Amariana.

Police tell AMW that the Molotov cocktail that was tossed through the home's front window landed directly on the sleeping little girl. Authorities say Amariana most likely died instantly.

Police say there were no witnesses out that night on Sweet Pea Way, in Natomas.

While investigators don't believe that Amariana was an intended target, they do believe that the attack was planned, and that someone knows something about the incident.
