MIDLAND — Next week, a Geneva Township teen will learn the penalty for killing his brother and wounding several other family members.

At 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Midland County Circuit Judge Jonathan E. Lauderbach will sentence Steven J. Pribbernow, 15. In February, Pribbernow pleaded guilty to a count of murder and three counts of assault with intent to murder, Bay City Times archives show.

The charges stem from an Aug. 3 incident in which Pribbernow attacked his immediate family with a knife at their home. During the assault, Pribbernow mortally stabbed his 17-year-old brother, Justin S. Pribbernow, and injured siblings Kevin D. Pribbernow, 15, and Kody C. Pribbernow, 13, as well as their stepfather, Joshua M. Saylor, 32, authorities have alleged.

Pribbernow was charged as an adult and could face life imprisonment.
