4-year-old boy drowns in Andrew

ANDREW, Iowa - A 4-year-old boy died Saturday evening of an apparent drowning in Andrew.

Officials did not release the name of the boy.

Maquoketa police and Jackson County Sheriff’s Department officials responded to a 911 call at 5 p.m. and the boy was rushed to the Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa. He was pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m.

Jackson County Law Enforcement and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are investigating the case.
