A Chicago man who allegedly beat a 10-month-old to death in August has been arrested in Milwaukee, authorities said. Michael Thorpe, 31, allegedly beat Walter Jackson between Aug. 7 and Aug. 9 in a home in the 6100 block of South Campbell, police said. According to police, Thorpe was the baby's godfather and was watching him. The baby suffered multiple fractures on his skull and also lacerations to his kidney, police said. Thorpe was charged in a warrant in October and was arrested this week in Milwaukee.
