The Preventive Center for women ,Santa Teresa, located in zone 18, has a new resident. This is Rosalinda Arleny Rivera Estrada, deputy Gudy Rivera's sister, whom a court ordered custody.

After the hearing prior to the opening of trial, the court of First Instance Criminal seventh, Miguel Angel Galvez, believes that the Public Ministry (MP) presented sufficient evidence to believe that Rivera could be prosecuted for the crimes of trafficking and conspiracy, both with sentences ranging from 6 to 12 years in prison incommutable, according to the Penal Code and the Law Against Organized Crime.

"She was not in her residence, and her neighbors indicated that had been gone for days," said prosecutor Claudia Rosales, who recounted the events of May 12, 2007 on the outskirts of the Roosevelt Hospital, where some men came with Rivera and snatched the newborn to

Gladys Wendy Caal Suc

.

Defense

Although the accused did not confirm the abduction of children, she said it had stayed with her because she was unfortunate, since suffered abuse by her stepfather. She denied knowing

Gladys Caal

and  said: "I only know

Luz Maribel Hernández Canté

, she lived four blocks from my home in the Quinta Samayoa and sold tortillas, and I only cared for her child and took her to a degree to fix the adoption. " Yesterday the court heard that a court in Antigua Guatemala had also ordered her arrest for a similar case.

According to the MP, Hernández Canté was born in

San Antonio La Paz

, El Progreso, had a son on November 20, 2006 and does not know Rivera Estrada, whereas Caal Suc, real mother of the child, is a native of Chisec, Alta Verapaz, place where the alleged abduction of the child last year.
