Nine children in the adoption process, rescued from a clandestine home in Palin
Nine children in the process of illegal adoption, were rescued today from a clandestine house that operated in the municipality of Palin, in southern Guatemala, official sources reported.
An official from the Public Ministry (MP) explained that children aged between 1 and 5 years, were found at a home that did not meet the conditions of health necessary to function as a nursery [casa cuna].

Asociación Primaveradoes not have a legal permit to work in the municipality of Palin, but only in the capital, said.
The source said the three girls and six boys rescued during the operation today were moved to the capital and were under the responsibility of the Attorney General's Office (PGN).
According to the MP, the infants were in an illegal adoption process, but during the premises search, noone was not arrested, because they only found the caregivers, he said.

Nueve niños que estaban en proceso de adopción ilegal fueron rescatados hoy de una casa clandestina que funcionaba en el municipio de Palín, en el sur de Guatemala, informaron fuentes oficiales.
Un funcionario del Ministerio Público (MP) explicó que los menores, cuyas edades oscilan entre 1 y 5 años, fueron encontrados en una vivienda que no reunía las condiciones de higiene necesarias para funcionar como casa cuna.
La residencia era operada por la Asociación Primavera, que no cuenta con un permiso legal para trabajar en el municipio de Palín, sino solo en la capital, aseguró.
La fuente dijo que las tres niñas y seis niños rescatados hoy durante el operativo fueron trasladados a la capital y quedaron bajo la responsabilidad de la Procuraduría General de la Nación (PGN).
Según el MP, los infantes estaban en un proceso de adopción ilegal, aunque durante el allanamiento al inmueble no fue capturada ninguna persona, porque sólo se encontraba la niñera, señaló.
