Daniel Hoover Children's Village orphanage
FRom website
The children at Daniel Hoover Children's Village and the Deaf Home are generally between 4 and 16 years of age and have been admitted by their birth parents or relatives. Some children have been in the care of ACFI for several years.
The children have very limited access to electricity and no running water. Very basic medical services are available. Their daily diet is limited to fried bread and a bowl of rice with soup.
Children are provided with schooling, however, books and school supplies such as writing tablets, pencils and text books are generally not available. Children are taught Christian values through daily devotions and bible classes.
Liberian children are joyful and full of hope. The boys are generally found playing soccer, while the girls love to braid each others hair and play a Liberian game called lappa.
