Randall L. and Jennifer J. Holdren of rural Loganton announce the adoption of their first child, a daughter, who was born April 24, 1997, at National Regional Hospital in Coatepeque, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. The infant, who was named Makayla Lee, weighed 7 pounds.
The mother, the former Jennifer J. Smith, is a daughter of Ben C. and Miriam Bailey of Potters Mills. The father is a son of Walter "Hop" and Bonnie Holdren of rural Loganton.
