Tras la captura y primera declaración de Rosalinda Arleny Rivera Estrada, hermana del diputado patriota Gudy Rivera, el congresista afirmó esta mañana que incluso actuaría como querellante adhesivo dentro del proceso.

El parlamentario, quien es miembro de la Comisión del Menor del Congreso de la República, afirmó que asistiría mañana a la Procuraduría General de la Nación para revisar los expedientes de adopciones y que continuaría "trabajando en pro de la niñez y adolescencia de Guatemala", manifestó.

Rivera reconoció esta mañana en el parlamento que anímicamente se vio afectado por la captura de su hermana, pero añadió: "que una pariente esté involucrada en una ilegalidad, deberá caer todo el peso de la justicia sobre ella, no moveré un solo dedo por defenderla, al contrario, si debo actuar como querellante, lo haré".

En esas declaraciones el diputado del Partido Patriota (PP) dijo que pediría al Organismo Judicial "que se dediquen a esta pariente y a mí que me desliguen porque no tengo nada que ver en este asunto", indicó.

Niños en casas cunas

Baudilio Portillo Merlos, Procurador General de la Nación, expresó que de los niños encontrados en la vivienda de Rosalinda Rivera, sólo existía el pasaporte de una niña, la cual posiblemente se encontraba lista para viajar y con el proceso de adopción terminado.

Portillo añadió que los infantes encontrados allí fueron puestos a disposición de un juzgado de la niñez, el cual resolvió enviarlos a diferentes casas cunas.

¿Montaje?

El comunicado de prensa emitido por el PP refiere: "Estamos haciendo una investigación en relación a un montaje que están preparando algunas instituciones"; el documento no deja claro quién o quiénes estarían detrás de dicho montaje y con qué objetivo.

La detención de Rosalinda Arleny se dio ayer cuando la Policía Nacional Civil (PNC) allanó a las 15:00 horas la vivienda ubicada en la 11 avenida 7-51 de la colonia Quinta Samayoa, dentro de la cual encontraron a nueve infantes que oscilan entre los 7 meses y 1 año de edad.

La Procuraduría General de la Nación (PGN) y PNC buscaban a Álvaro Daniel Suruy, quien supuestamente había sido vendido por Rosalinda Rivera, sin embargo, no encontraron a ese infante en el lugar.

La detención de Rosalinda Rivera se dio un día antes de la interpelación en el Congreso de Raúl Robles, ministro de Agricultura.

Aunque no se hizo oficial, varios miembros de los bloques del Palacio Legislativo manifestaron que el diputado Rivera debería excusarse de continuar conformando la Comisión del Menor en el parlamento.

Alejandro Elías, coordinador técnico del MP, refirió que esa institución no tiene competencia para solicitar de oficio el listado de abogados que realizan procesos ilícitos de adopción y que compete a la PGN solicitarlo y denunciar dichas anomalías.

Otorgan medida

Juan José León, juez de turno del Organismo Judicial, otorgó tres medidas a la sindicada: arresto domiciliario, una multa de 50 mil quetzalesy la obligación de presentarse a firmar semanalmente a ese organismo.

A la sindicada le fueron imputados los delitos de trata de personas y conspiración. Mynor Pinto, fiscal que ejerció acusación en la audiencia de primera declaración, refirió que no pidió prisión preventiva porque los delitos imputados gozan de medidas sustitutivas; la fiscalía también consideró que no existe peligro de fuga u obstaculización de la averiguación de la verdad en ese caso.
