Captured the sister of Gudy Rivera of PP

By Claudia Acuna

The Seventh Instance Criminal Court  yesterday ordered the arrest of Arleny Rosalinda Rivera Estrada, for abducting a baby in 2007.

Rivera Estrada, sister of Gudy Rivera deputy of the Partido Patriota (PP), was arrested by agents of the Criminal Investigation Division of the National Civil Police, when she finished the hearing in which she gave her first statement on the abduction of a baby on May 12, 2007, at nearby  Hospital. [Gladys Caal]

One of the aggravating circumstances presented by the prosecution is a violation of home detention with which Rivera was served after the Third Court granted her a bail of Q50 a thousand, last May, when she was arrested at her residence, which operated as a nursery clandestinely.

Judge Miguel Ángel Gálvez found sufficient evidence to begin the process for the crimes of trafficking and conspiracy, and ordered her immediate arrest.

Rivera was told yesterday in the court, of third arrest warrant for a claim made in Antigua Guatemala.

Edwin Mis for the defense asserted that  case is political issue.
