Accused murderer expected in court

Gloria Grayson, 58 will be arraigned Thursday on charges she killed her 5-year-old adopted son.

The family that adopted Kevin King when he was just 8-months old are choosing to remember his life, instead of focusing on how he may have died.

"It breaks our hearts that he's not here it just gives me chills to think right now that he's not here." said Yvette Ward.

Amid allegations of abuse from Kevin King's biological relatives. Grayson's family members are remembering the little boy, they say, was loved by everyone who knew him.

"When you see him, and he looked at you with those pretty eyes Kevin was just embracing everybody." said cousin Yvette Ward.

She would not comment on what she thought may have happened Sunday night.

Police say Ward's aunt, Gloria Grayson, Kevin's adopted mom, called 9-1-1 saying she found the boy unresponsive on the bathroom floor.

He was rushed to Mercy southwest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy revealed Kevin died of blunt force trauma to the chest and abdomen.

Grayson was arrested and charged with his murder.
