Update from Haut de la Garenne

public

RELEASED TO MEDIA ON TUESDAY 11 MARCH 2008 AT 11.15 AM

An update for you:

Work continues today at the second cellar at Haut de la Garenne. The team are now in the process of taking out rubble from the cellar. This is slow, time consuming work which must be done accurately for forensic purposes and it is likely to take some time. The team are likely to be working in the cellar for several days; at least the rest of this week.

We have had no more indications from the specialist dog since last night.

Away from Haut de la Garenne at Police HQ, the historical abuse team are working their way through documents and are making good progress with the extended team now that more officers have arrived from the UK.

We have no planned media facility/pool pictures today.
