The mother of the developmentally disabled 13-year-old girl who was found dead in Prince William County last week was arrested last night on a neglect charge, county police said.

Homicide Suspected as Girl's Body Is Found in Va.

They said Alfreedia Leona Gregg-Glover, 44, of the 8200 block of Sunset Drive in Manassas, was charged with child neglect and filing a false police report. Police declined to provide details.

Police said last week that they were treating the death of Alexis "Lexie" Glover as a homicide. She disappeared Wednesday from a library parking lot and was found Friday in a creek eight miles away.
