Thomas L. Bates vehemently and categorically denied charges yesterday that he sexually assaulted and took nude photographs of his five adopted children.
"I'm really not the touchy-feely-kissy type ... I show my affection by taking the kids to the beach ...," Bates testified yesterday, the fourth day of his trial at Worcester Superior Court. "Never" did he sexually assault the children, touch them sexually, take pictures of them...
