Who we are

The national Apostolic Faith Mission Welfare Council was established during
1945, and serves as the coordinating body for various childcare and social
upliftment projects. The council also launched the Mephiboseth Ministry during
October 2000. The AFM is a national council and the head office is situated in
Centurion, Pretoria.

ABBA Adoption was established during 1983 as the
registered private practice of our founder, Mrs. Riekie van der Berg. During
1996 the unit became the official adoption division of the AFM Welfare Council.
The private adoption practice has since grown to a national adoption program.
The organization now employs 22 employees and legally deals with around 455
babies and young children per annum. Together with the AFM, ABBA Adoption also
has three satellite offices in Kwa Zulu Natal, the Western Cape and the North
West provinces. The head office is situated in Arcadia, Pretoria. Adoptions are
facilitated throughout South Africa.

AFM ABBA Adoptions networks closely
with the registered Section 21 Company SA Cares for Life.

We have a
specialized and unique adoption program. Our program includes national
adoptions, international adoptions, statutory services to children that can
benefit from permanent family placements and birthparent care. Our practice is
based on biblical foundation, sound adoption theory and many years of
experience.

We realize that adoption involves challenges, risks and many
times difficult decisions have to be made by those involved. Our heart is to
provide you with information and advice that will help you to make these
decisions. Welcome to the Adoption Journey.

    Our Mission
AFM Abba Adoptions is the official adoption division
of the AFM Executive Welfare Council. We are registered with the S A Council for
social service professions to provide adoption services. Our practice adheres to
all national legal and policy requirements. We remain committed to the principle
that the child's best interest is of paramount importance and all services and
decisions will be based on this principle.

We strive towards rendering a
professional adoption service to all birth parents, children and adoptive
parents in our program. We aim to find forever families for children who legally
qualify and who would benefit from adoptions. Our services are divided into
three specialized areas, namely : adoption , birthparent and baby care services.
Our value system based on Christian principle, plays an important role in our
adoption selection process but we will offer our service to any child or
birthparent that falls within our mandate and that is in need of our service.

    Our Vision
    Finding forever families for children.
