phases of adoption - from the adoptee's perspective

wish we had a wiki, but...

i was trying to come up with what we go through in the form of a list.

shock and awe

kept popping into my head. 

i'm not thinking coherently enough at the moment to populate this list, so thought i'd ask you all to help me.

phase 1:  (?)

phase 2:  adoption - shock and awe

phase 3:  (?)

etc., etc.,

anyone want to take a shot at this?
