truths-ah wait-Truths-with a capital T.

public

ok so can we talk about this??

Actually, first I wanted to ask your guys' opinions on being a victim. Practically my whole life was spent around catering to this victim-like mentality of how hard I had it, etc. I'd retell my stories over and over-and I was always the victim.

But I attended a seminar where they told us that if you label yourself as a victim you will keep having victim-like instances happen to you. That if you truly thought yourself as a victim, there could be no end to what kind of bad shit could happen.

I, thinking this was the epiphany of the year, never really got it before this. I actually did put myself in many many many many MANY compromising situations because I HAD thought I had no power in my situation. I understand now that I always have a choice, even though the choice may not always be clear at first. Anyway, I was wondering if you guys had any comments on this victim thing because sometimes I have gone back to that way of thinking and it's completely more than undesirable-but just not beneficial at all, and it fucks me up!

I also know this doesn't erase what happened; and actually that's where I'm all about doing my best to find a middle ground right now-a balance where I can remember all the bad shit, and yet still forgive.

Secondly, truths. What is the importance of truths? Why do people lie? Because of fear, right? So we must eliminate fear in the world! If there was no fear in the world, then there'd truly have to be peace..wouldn't there? haha I don't know where that came from but anyway...
