BOYNTON BEACH - A bachelor honored for adopting eight boys and caring for three others since 1973 has been charged with sexually assaulting some of the children, police said. David Allen Lindsey, 42, among the first bachelors to adopt children in Florida, was arrested Tuesday night on 18 counts of sexual assault and released after posting $5,000 bail. "He showered them with love and affection, then he systematically seduced them and had sexual relations with them over many years," said Sgt. David Nissensohn, who led the police investigation. "We're talking about so many instances we can't even pinpoint it - well into the hundreds." Boynton Beach is north of Miami.
