Las Vegas Man Arrested For Allegedly Sexually Abusing Child

Updated: June 17, 2008 07:09 PM

The suspect is currently in the Clark County Detention Center with a $430,000 bond.

A terrible case of child pornography, incest and abuse was all uncovered on the computer hard drive of the father at the center of the case. That man is charged with 43 counts, including sexual assault, possession of child pornography and actually filming sex acts.

The victims were his two adopted daughters under 14 and one relative less than seven-years-old.

The man took the malfunctioning computer to Best Buy in order to get it fixed, and that broke the case wide open. The general manager of the store said after seeing what was on the hard drive, it was the worst thing he had ever experienced in his life.

The suspect told the technicians his son downloaded a lot of pornography. When they booted up the computer, they saw a picture of a naked young girl as the desktop background image and immediately called police.

Metro Officers found folder after folder of pictures and videos of sex acts committed on very young girls. They eventually uncovered that the suspect took pictures and video of his two adopted daughters, both under 14, naked in hotel rooms.

Some of the evidence shows him having sex with the girls and them performing sex acts on him both in hotel rooms and in his own bedroom. Metro also uncovered pictures of the man sexually assaulting a female relative from Guatemala, thought to be no more than seven-years-old.

Police could identify the suspect in the pictures because of a burn scar on his hand.

According to Metro, he has seven children thought to be living in this house. Neighbors say upwards of 14 people lived here at a time. A neighbor said the man had been renovating the house for the last year and a half.

"We talked a lot when he first started all that work over there. I let him -- loaned him tools, what have you. I thought he was a nice guy," he said.

The suspect is currently in the Clark County Detention Center with a $430,000 bond. The 44-year-old has no mug shot because investigators are still looking into other crimes. He will be in court on Friday. We are keeping his name private to protect the identities of the young victims.
