Man Arrested For Sexually Abusing Adopted Sister

LIVINGSTON (CBS13) ―

A 25-year old man has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing his younger adopted sister since she was seven years old, according to authorities.

Kenneth Ray Knightingale of Livingston was arrested on Saturday for sex acts with a minor, lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and booked into the Merced Jail. His bail has been set at $400,000, according to police.

His arrest came after a detective with the Merced Sheriff's Office received a report from the 17-year old victim describing sexual abuse by her adopted brother since she was seven.

Authorities say that the investigation is ongoing.
