It would be interesting to take a survey of drug use by the foster child and adults who have been adopted or aged-out of foster care. How many were prescribed pills, how many found self-medication through alcohol and stronger drugs, and how many trust doctors/therapists?
Does anyone see how neglect leads to drug problems?
There should be a commercial that says: "this is your brain... <crack then fry egg>... this is your brain in foster-care".
