Crissy Bessemer-Kolarik

Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Therapy and a Master’s Degree in Counseling. She is a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She has worked in Child Welfare for 11years. Her area of specialty has been with children that were victims of sexual abuse, as well as children displaying inappropriate sexual behavior. Crissy entered into adoption work after counseling teenagers who would never experience the joys of a “forever family”. Crissy and her sister Jennifer opened A Child’s Waiting Adoption Program together after several years at separate agencies. They felt inspired to help the children who needed families the most. Crissy currently works with individuals and couples hoping to build their family through adoption as well as birth parents wishing to place their children for adoption. Crissy is married to her husband Todd who an Adoption Attorney. Todd works in adoptions completing adoption finalizations, and representing birth parents in cases of permanent surrender. Crissy and Todd live in the Copley, Ohio area with their two children Cooper and Kaeden. Crissy enjoys spending time with family, visiting with friends, and traveling.
