Youth for Peace - project

Description

AiBi - Associazione Amici dei Bambini - is a humanitarian organisation based in Milan, Italy, promoting the protection of children rights. Together with partners from Norway, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia, the applicant has presented the long-term project "Youth for Peace". The aim is to promote peace and multicultural dialogue in the Balkan region. In this framework, the objective is to give an opportunity to young people of different ethnic origins to actively participate in the creation of the civil society in the region. In this context, the project intends to empower not only the work of local youth centres at local level, but also to intensify the collaboration among them at international level. Therefore, this project foresees to set up a European - Balkan network of youth centres; to create a website through which the young people can communicate with their peers; to run a distance learning course on IT for youngsters involved in the centres; to implement different youth information activities; to organise a summer camp and a European conference in Balkan region. This project will have duration of 30 months.
