Cherie Clark
During Operation Babylift - an emergency evacuation of 2,000 orphans from Vietnam - Cherie Clark was a key player, and one of the only women evacuated twice from the hell that followed the American withdrawal from Vietnam. This book recounts the first thirty years of this remarkable woman's life - from her birth in small-town Peru, Indiana, through April 1975, when she dodged enemy rocket attacks to escape from Saigon's famous Tan Son Nhut airport with a plane filled with babies.
