Many placements don't result in any form of permanency, but end in disruption. Sometimes adoptive parents are not told about pre-existing conditions and can't cope with the resulting situation. In any case the safety of the child involved is at risk. Some end up in foster care, some in residential care and some in an underground network dealing with disrupted adoptions. In this section we discuss disrupted placements and collect cases known to us.
